Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. The work model for the role is #LI - OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Process Automation – Energy Division in India Region. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tExecuting purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.•\tDesigning and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets.•\tSupporting in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.•\tApplying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
Qualifications for the role\tYou have 8 to 12 years of experience in end-to-end procurement activities.\tYou possess extensive knowledge of electrical commodities such as GIS, Switchgear, UPS, Transformers, Cables, etc., and have experience handling electrical/instrumentation items like JB, MTO, Pipes, Fittings, etc., as well as Instrumentation components like Valves, Transmitters, Skids, etc., Fire Alarm Systems, PAGA, CCTV systems, and managing Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation erection contractors.\tStrong experience in handling Third-Party Services and Agreements.\tYou are passionate about customer management and stakeholder engagement.\tYou hold an Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation.\tYou are comfortable communicating in English, both verbally and in writing.
