Job Description:
L3Harris has an availability to join our Integrated Vision Solutions team in Tempe, AZ. This dynamic role will perform daily procurement activity by processing requisitions and performing MRP analysis in order to meet desired cost and schedule requirements, while maintaining proper inventory levels in support of manufacturing. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist will complete Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) supplies and consumables.
Collaboration will be vital as this position will serve as the primary contact with suppliers, and foster a positive relationship with suppliers and their management, as well as work functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, PMs, MPMs in securing the best solutions for new or existing programs.
Essential Functions:
Influence Electronic and/or Optical suppliers' manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations by leveraging the growth of L3HarrisLead sourcing engagements and competitive bidding (RFI, RFQ, and RFP)Help develop long-term department strategies and significantly influence the cross-company project development and delivery processes and standardsProactively manage the supply base to achieve our site goalsResearch and benchmark current market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges for each commodityExecute spend management strategies including supplier assessments and rationalization, negotiation for best total cost of ownership, make vs. buy analyses, vendor managed inventories, inventory reduction programs, cycle time improvements, security of supply, supplier diversity, continuous improvement, commodity roadmaps, and procurement/stakeholder collaborationLead negotiations and minimizing the purchase price variance (PPV).
