Role and Responsibilities
Responsible, under minimal supervision, to place and follow-up on orders to ensure fulfilment in accordance with purchasing terms and conditions. This role will resolve invoice, accounting, vendor authorization, return material authorization (RMA), and vendor credit issues to increase the operational efficiency of SEA Mobile Production Center (MPC) Parts SCM department.
This role will also conduct purchasing activities in accordance with ethical business standards and established purchasing policies and procedures. This role will support assigned organizations to fulfil the procurement needs and requirements of product development projects and activities.
Works independently, and considered a seasoned and experienced professional with adequate understanding of own job area. Determines approach to work, and is monitored/supervised based more on milestone basis, and at key deliverable junctures.
Procurement Implementation Responsibilities:
Design and implement procurement strategies to align with company goals, optimizing cost, quality, and lead timeLead the integration and management of procurement tools, including ERP, MRP, MPS, and WMP systems, to ensure seamless operationsEvaluate and streamline end-to-end procurement processes, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvementsOversee supplier onboarding, ensuring compliance with company standards and fostering long-term partnershipsEnsure timely and accurate execution of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and inventory managementUtilize advanced data analysis techniques to monitor procurement trends, supplier performance, and inventory levelsJunior Leadership Responsibilities:
Serve as a liaison between the procurement team and management to relay insights, updates, and challengesProvide guidance to team members on best practices, problem-solving approaches, and operational toolsLead cross-functional collaborations to align procurement activities with production and inventory requirementsMentor and train junior staff, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented team cultureMonitor and report on procurement KPIs, driving accountability and continuous improvement initiativesAssist in resolving escalations, including supplier disputes and urgent material requirementsStrategic Contributions:
Support the development and implementation of procurement policies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectivesParticipate in supplier negotiations to secure cost-effective terms and maintain strong partnershipsContribute to risk management strategies by identifying potential supply chain disruptions and recommending mitigation plansPlay an active role in key procurement projects, such as cost reduction initiatives and process optimizationMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field4+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain operations, or production field with SAP or similar business enterprise purchasing, inventory control and procurement management systemHands-on experience with ERP, WMS, MRP, and MPS systems, with a proven track record of successful implementationAdvanced proficiency in Excel and data management to analyze and drive process improvementsAbility to manage competing priorities and operate in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on operational excellencePreferred Qualifications:
