Position Summary
The Procurement Specialist will work directly with suppliers and internal teams to align with business needs. In this role, you will support, track and maintain all purchase orders for the operations. The Procurement Specialist will work closely with suppliers, as well as other departments, communicating order updates.
Duties & Responsibilities
+ Create purchase orders to align with manufacturing schedule demand.
+ Review and manage purchase orders and delivery dates to ensure manufacturing operations remain on schedule.
+ Analyze invoice discrepancies, recommend and implement solutions.
+ Collaborate with suppliers to request required documents including new products and quality complaints with suppliers.
+ Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support the business.
+ Participate in multi-disciplined cross-functional project teams and meetings.
+ Participate in Business Review meetings.
+ Work cross functionally with supply chain team to provide updated order information.
+ Support Senior Manager with critical material escalations.
+ Support other activities to achieve site goals in procurement or supply chain as assigned.
Education & Experience
+ Associates degree, Bachelors preferred in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field, and 1+ years of procurement or related experience. Any combination of experience, training and education will be considered.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite a plus.
+ SAP/Ariba experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
+ Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices.
+ Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
+ Ability to work cross functionally to achieve a common goal.
+ Ability to prioritize and support multiple tasks at the same time.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
+ Must be able to adapt to a changing environment.
Physical Demands
+ This role requires sitting and/or standing for extended periods, along with repetitive hand and wrist movements.
Work Environment
Position is primarily in an office-based setting.
Travel
This position requires up to 5% travel.
Target Bonus
8%
New York Pay Range
$23.62 — $34.43 USD
