Procurement Specialist (Buyer)

One of the largest tech companies based in Seattle, WA is hiring a Buyer to support the Buying Team in expanding selection by setting up new vendors and items, maintaining the product catalog and managing pricing. Role is 100% onsite in Seattle, WA.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Buyer II to assist the Buying Team in expanding our selection by setting up new vendors and items, maintaining the product catalog, and managing pricing. You will coordinate new product launches, maintain product costs, retail prices, content, and images, manage vendor relations, and assist with special projects.

ResponsibilitiesSet up new vendors and itemsMaintain the product catalog and manage pricingCoordinate new product launchesMaintain product cost, retail price, content, and imagesManage vendor relationsAssist with special projectsSupport and train as a backup to ControlMaintain Key Operations Indicators (KOIs) such as Purchase Orders On Time Delivery and Zero Purchase Order Past DueManage Open Order Report with suppliers and provide shortage Report updates to managementFacilitate path to green for assigned commodities/suppliersTimely resolution to Material Review Board (MRB) issuesWork with Contract Manufacturers on inventory report management, excess and obsolete mitigation, and component risk buysEnsure Item Master Data Integrity and 100% Cycle Count accuracyManage production schedulesEssential Skills2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or as a buyer in a large-scale environmentStrong computer skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)Understanding of data management and databasesExperience with procurement software such as Coupa or similar Procure-to-Pay systemAbility to independently solve ambiguous problemsAdvanced data analysis skillsStrong business communication skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to create macros and material simulations in ExcelDegree or equivalent experienceDemonstrated leadership abilities following principles such as Deliver Results and Invent and SimplifyWork Environment

You will work in a highly demanding but collegial environment where teamwork is essential. The role requires effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
