Role Profile
This role supports Business Stakeholders, Procurement Category Teams and in-market Procurement Managers in Source to Contract projects, including preparing and running sourcing events and negotiations/renegotiations of contract clauses. The Procurement Specialist will perform Procurement activities in line with ONE Procurement Operating Model.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting Global Category teams in the Source to Contract process:
Support Procurement category / in-market teams in contracting activitiesKnow and apply Procurement Processes and Tools in a daily workAnalyze received proposals, making recommendations for supplier selection, prepare summary reports. Make evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information. Display data and provide recommendations.Ensure contract renewals and lead new simple contracts creation – negotiations/renegotiations of the T&C’s and contract clauses including contracts administration – gathering signatures and contract storage in the systemEnhance relations with Global Category Leaders and business stakeholders ensuring high standards and ability to connect and build strong relationship with stakeholders across the globe (matrix organization)Identifies and mitigates risks in S2C related processEnsure compliance to company procurement policies and improve the usage of the procurement toolsActively uses the opportunities to work across the teamsWhat is the global remit? (How many countries will the role operate in?)
Remit which covers all AstraZeneca countries.
Essential Criteria
Education
University degree requiredExperience:
1- 2 years of the work experience in the procurement department or supply chain.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Problem solving / continuous improvement approach.Microsoft Office literacySkills:
Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present information in a clear and concise format.“Can do attitude.”Basic presentation skills: know best practices, able to choose presentation method and adjust the content to the audience. Actively seeks for advice of senior colleagues to improve the skills.Ability to engage fast with stakeholders at different levels within the organization, primarily through emails.Strong relationship and business partnering skills.Effective Influencing/persuasion skills.Flexibility and fast adaptation to changing environment.Time management and prioritization (the ability to place urgency on varying demands).Strong team player able to collaborate with stakeholders from different cultures.Comfortable interacting with people from different parts of the world and at different companies.Uses appropriate style for different types of writing.Language Capabilities:
Excellent English communications skills (verbal and written)Additional language would be a benefit but not a must (due to the future support for the in-market Procurement Teams)Desirable Criteria
Work experience in the procurement department preferably in the organization with a big or mature procurement organization.Knowledge of Procurement tools ( i.e. Jaggear, Coupa)Experience in negotiating commercial terms and contract clauses.Key Relationships to reach solutions
