We are looking for a team oriented entry level business services professional who may have a limited working knowledge of Federal Construction Contracting and is interested in significant growth opportunities. Responsibilities will include\:
Responsible for cradle to grave procurement administration of federal and/or commercial construction related procurement actions; review requisitions, prepare RFPs, conduct bid abstracts, conduct negotiations, prepare purchase orders and subcontracts and administer complex services-type subcontracts Supporting other Subcontract Administrators and Managers in administering contract actions Performing assignments of varying scope and of moderate complexity following established policies and procedures Collaborating with others and/or work within cross-functional teams to address challenges, institute lessons learned, and achieve the objectives of the project Works with a high degree of independence. Assignments are prioritized and may rapidly change depending on deliverables. Considerable latitude and judgement are exercised to meet procurement, program, and company deadlines Determining reasonableness of vendor proposed pricing through the use of recognized analytical techniques (Price Analysis and Cost Analysis) by the examination and justification of the proposed elements Maintaining detailed documentation to support meetings, decisions, actions, and recommendations Acquiring and maintaining a working knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, standards and procedures. Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline with 2 or more years of relevant experience - OR- 6 years’ relevant experience and High School Diploma/GED in lieu of Bachelor's is acceptable Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively multi-task Demonstrated professional oral and written communications skills required Computer literate and document creation/production of PDFs and Microsoft Office products (i.e., minimum skills required working in Excel, WORD and email) Above average writing skills need to be logical and succinctPreferred Requirements\:
Experience reviewing/advising on federal acquisition regulations, i.e., FAR, DFAR, and the DEAR Experience with government contracts, i.e., DOE or DOD Exposure to different contracting structures, including the potential to manage cost reimbursable contracts Exposure to government property administrationEssential Functions\: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. Must be alert to equipment in the field, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to heights. There may be occasional travel out of the state.
