About the role
As a Procurement & Supply Specialist with Bunnings, you will be responsible for coordinating the supply management, purchasing and cost control across multiple categories in a diverse supply chain.
You will support multiple programmes and suppliers as well as internal and external stakeholders, by ensuring goods and services are available at the best value, to the agreed quality and delivered at the right time.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract position (parental leave cover) based in the VIC Bunnings Support Office at Burnley, where we support hybrid working.
What's involved:
Conduct the end to the end supply and procurement process for your categories ensuring optimal supply, competitive rates, understanding of supply forecasts to meet workload requirements of the business with a focus on delivery in full and on timeBuild and maintain strong market and commercial knowledge in purchasing categories, ensuring awareness of routes to supply and suppliersDevelop national tenders, summarise proposals with appropriate criteria and recommendations to buyDevelop timelines and key milestone actions required to manage projectsBuild strong relationships with suppliers and review supplier key performance indicators and site feedback, maintain robust reporting and supplier performance reviewsWork as part of the broader Procurement & Supply team to support across the end to end purchase order process as well as reporting, tracking and reconciling costs for projects against budget, as required
Who we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have a good attention to detail, coupled with the ability to work autonomously to manage your time effectively. You will be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with all areas of the business and build trusted relationships with your stakeholders.
You’ll need:
Demonstrated experience in a related field (Procurement or Supply) with exposure to managing suppliers and/or stakeholdersDemonstrated skills in Microsoft programs – specifically Excel ideally having experience with Pivot Tables & VLookUpsAbility to managing multiple projects and activities, ideally where you have been responsible for identifying suppliers, formulating procurement decisions, and managing and supervising supplier delivery projectsUnderstanding of the importance of supplier and risk managementGood technical knowledge of the end to end purchasing processes and stakeholder managementYou’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
