Procurement Support Specialist

Role Description:

Arcadis is seeking a Procurement Support Specialist to join our team for a significant rail tunnel project in the New York / New Jersey area. In this role, you will support the procurement team by ensuring seamless procurement operations, maintaining supplier relationships, and assisting in the procurement of goods and services. 

Role Accountabilities:

Identify and pre-qualify suppliers and subcontractors that meet project requirements. Conduct background checks and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards. Assist in the preparation, issuance, and tracking of purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure all orders are accurate and delivered on time to meet project deadlines. Maintain up-to-date records of procurement documents, including contracts, purchase orders, and amendments. Ensure all documentation complies with project requirements, regulatory guidelines, and audit standards. Act as a point of contact for suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any procurement-related issues. Resolve logistical and scheduling conflicts by coordinating with suppliers and project teams. Assist with budget tracking, ensuring procurement activities align with project budget allocations.

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Minimum 2 years experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support roles

Key Skills and Abilities: 

Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems  Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with suppliers and internal teams. Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Basic understanding of procurement principles, contract management, and vendor negotiation.

These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP,  401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement.  We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
