Main objective of the position:
The role is part of Baxter’s Global Procurement Organization and reports to the Associate Director, Procurement Initiatives.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Manager to join our Procurement Supply Continuity team. The detail-oriented candidate will be responsible for overseeing supplier risk mapping, developing and executing supply continuity projects, acting as SME for Procurement supply risk resolution and reporting progress to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a deep understanding of supplier risk management, and the ability to effectively lead and develop a diverse team.

What you'll be doing:
Lead the development and implementation of supplier risk mapping processes to identify and assess potential risks within the supply chain, such as supplier capacity constraints, single-source dependencies, or geopolitical factors.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights on supplier performance, financial stability, geopolitical factors, and other risk indicators.Work closely with the Engineering/Opex internally and externally with suppliers team to build business cases for change, providing financial analysis and risk evaluation outcomesUtilize risk assessment tools and methodologies to prioritize suppliers based on risk severity and develop mitigation strategies.Manage the Procurement supply continuity project stream, working closely with the Product Core Team (PCT) to prioritize certain initiatives to ensure uninterrupted supply of critical components and materials.Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and oversee project execution to meet objectives and deadlines.Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to address supply chain disruptions and implement risk mitigation measures.Collaborate with suppliers to identify and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks and improve supply chain resilience.Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as needed to drive resolution and maintain continuity of supply.Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the effectiveness of supply continuity initiatives.Drive continuous improvement efforts within the team and across the procurement organization to optimize supplier risk management practices.Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain risk management to incorporate into strategies and processes.Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.What you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.8+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related field, with a focus on supplier risk management and supply continuity.Proven track record of successfully leading and managing projects, including project planning, execution, and stakeholder management.Strong understanding of supplier risk assessment methodologies, supply chain risk management practices, and regulatory requirements.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and develop a diverse team across multiple locations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess complex situations and develop pragmatic solutions.Experience working in a global environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.Strong understanding of procurement strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and external suppliers.Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results within specified deadlines.Team player experienced in effective root cause problem solving able to quickly gain credibility and gain traction with both stakeholders and suppliers.Fluent English speakerCompetencies:
