What you will be doing
The Produce Buyer is responsible for the Procurement of various commodities assigned to them. The Produce Buyer is responsible for maintaining a high Fill Rate from DC to store and ensuring that the stores are receiving the highest quality of product at the right price. The Buyer will work closely with their Manager and Retail Sales Team to determine inventory levels to support In-Store promotions. The buyer will work with their QC partners on the quality of the product. The Buyer will also negotiate cost when appropriate with various suppliers to ensure the best cost of product.
The position will be based in Auburn WA.
Main responsibilities
Work with multiple suppliers on securing best possible cost Forecast Demand to create and manage purchase orders based on forecasted quantities Partner with the Retail and Sales Team on Promotions and Holiday forecasted quantities. Responsible for the management of their desk. Manage the success of KPI’s for their desk Work with Quality Control on any issues from the receiving dock Collaborate with suppliers, store operations, distribution centers and division personnel to accomplish job functionsThe salary range is $54,600.00 to $71,040.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).
