Responsible for processes and activities of quality assurance to support the production of safe, quality food.
**The pay for the Produce Quality Control Specialist is $18.78/hour, Benefits on Day 1**
**Schedule: 2nd Shift M-F 4:00pm-2:00am**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
• Follow all Food Safety requirements and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Identifying all raw material conditions including colleting samples, conducting inspections, and analysing samples.
• Documenting finished product status including recording and summarizing raw material, in process and finished product inspection and test data, updating quality assurance database
• Keeping management informed including reviewing and analysing reports, summarizing information and identifying trends
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by enforcing compliance with all applicable procedures, GMP’s, OSHA, preventive control and Freshway rules.
• Perform visual inspection of product to meet certain specification
• Ensure conformance to company standards and customer specifications
• Assist in cleanliness of general work area
• Ability to work days and hours that can change on a regular basis
• Comply with food safety practices and all applicable requirements as they pertain to SQF and that are maintained
• Support company driven food safety improvement initiatives
**RELATIONSHIPS**
• Internal: Operations, production management, peers, and co-workers
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
• Work continually in refrigerated environment 35° F– 45° F degrees
• Must be able to work for periods of time in freezer 10° F to – 10° F degrees with company provided apparel.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
• Able to work overtime as needed with or without notice
**EDUCATION / TRAINING**
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Basic Reading, Writing, and Math Skills
**RELATED EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS**
• Experience in production, warehouse, food processing, manufacturing food production or food service warehouse environment.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including overtime with hours and days that can change
• Ability to work in a refrigerated climate
• Utilization of soft skills, positive attitude, and ability to welcome and lead new associates
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Strong leadership capabilities
**KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES**
• Perform various roles including activities such as product receiving and selection, packaging, sorting, reboxing, marination, further processing and facility sanitation while adhering to company manufacturing requirements and safety regulations.
**PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS**
• The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job the associate is primarily asked to stand and walk. Light, periodic lifting will be required.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is $18.78/hour.
