We’re seeking an enthusiastic, veteran Producer to assist with the planning and production of live and pre-recorded radio shows featuring news, talk, sports, traffic and features. The producer is responsible for the audio content of broadcasts via radio, streaming, podcasts and other mobile platforms. Also involved in the entire process, from generating ideas to managing the audience response before, during and after each program.  

What You'll Do:

Generate original ideas, encourage ideation from others, and carry out thorough research.Research information, obtain materials and assist with contacting and scheduling guests.Give direction to presenters, content providers, assistants and other crew members.Monitor listener emails, texts and calls related to shows.Work in collaboration with presenters, performers or other program contributors, in order to perform quality assurance to meet established production standards, rules and regulations.Interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production, digital and engineering staff.Collaborate with sales department to execute integrated sales content with show hosts.Operate technical aspects of shows such as soundboards and editing/production software, commercial tracking, live reads, etc. Editing and record sound.Assist with time-keeping, saving show recordings, archiving show files and post-production editing as directed.Ability to edit audio and identify the best moments in a show to push out on various platforms.Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

Creative mindset with the ability to formulate and communicate original ideas.10 years of experience with a major market talk show.Excellent writing and storytelling skills; ability to tailor and adapt content for different audiences and platforms.Ability to build rapport and draw information from people.Confidence and tenacity to pursue information, overcome obstacles and pitch ideas to senior colleagues.Stress tolerance with ability to work calmly and effectively under pression, and to react quickly to changes.Ability to plan and organize, set priorities, multi-task and meet tight deadlines.Full knowledge of the law, rules and industry regulations around radio productions; know when it necessary to acquire relevant clearances.Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint as well as social media platforms.Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Communications, Journalism or equivalent experience may substitute.A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance is required.
