To see what it’s like to work at CNN, follow @WBDLife on Instagram (http://instagram.com/wbdlife) and X (http://twitter.com/wbdlife) ! **Your New Role…** CNN’s Digital Video Production team creates digital video content for all CNN platforms, including CNN’s core owned and operated platforms desktop web, mobile web, mobile apps and TV apps as well as CNN’s off-platform accounts. We work collaboratively across the organization to cover breaking news, trending topics, and important issues quickly and accurately. The Producer II is responsible for leading our evening shift, with a key focus on content coming out of CNN’s linear primetime shows and anchor talent. The Producer II collaborates with Senior Producers to develop tactics that help shape the transformation of CNN into a video-first organization that has a deep relationship with audiences. They manage daily team assignments, and work alongside digital and linear partners to produce strong videos in multiple formats. This position reports to the Senior Producer and is responsible for managing junior team members. **Your Role Accountabilities…** + Leads video production for the PM shift with a focus on creating digital-first video with TV content as well as anchor talent and show teams + Responsible for management of daily team assignments + Research, write and gather elements for produced videos + Collaborates with global programming team to help inform content selection + Communicates network and video production priorities with team + Participates in conversations with the team that encourage innovation and growth + Ensure all published videos adhere to CNN’s editorial and production standards + Experiments with new video formats on multiple platforms + Works with teams across the company to create compelling video stories + Pushes team to evolve video production story telling to continually meet evolving audience interests and needs **Qualifications & Experience…** + Four-year college degree. Journalism degree preferred + 5+ years producing/writing/editing in a major news market + Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or similar editing system + Familiarity with analyzing data and using insights to inform editorial decision-making + Excellent communication skills, news judgment and headline-writing skills + Ability to lead during breaking news situations + Ability to make editorial decisions while making content selection + Conveys spirit of teamwork, positive attitude + Flexibility (Can deal with rapid changes in news, adapt to breaking news, and handle several tasks at once) + Must be able to adapt to a 24h/7 days a week news environment + Must be able to work shifts at all times of day and night **How We Get Things Done…** This last bit is probably the most important!
