We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) as part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell’s Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor.

Producibility Engineer– FLRAA Build Team

TheFuture Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) Program Build Team Producibility Engineer oversees all manufacturing producibility support for composite components for various Integrated Product Teams, including Rotors, Wing and Fuselage IPTs. This includes design reviews, developing tooling and production plans, coordinating with internal production teams, as well as providing technical support to the Supply Chain organization.

What you’ll be doing as a Producibility Engineer

· Lead for producibility reviews of composite detail fabrication and assembly of Bell made components

· Lead on composite component manufacturing plans to transition from design to manufacturing of a best value product

· Able to develop scope of work, resource estimates, progress metrics, and communication cadence for overall project management to meet mission critical objectives

· Able to perform producibility analysis and manufacturing trade studies to determine cost effective solutions to complex manufacturing technical objectives

· Mentors and shares manufacturing technology with teammates and colleagues.

· Serves as programmatic lead for Risk Reduction, Test Builds and Assembly on aircraft of responsible parts

· Primary conduit between the FLRAA Program and support teams, and is responsible for coordinating program-level communications

· Key contributor to program-level decision making, providing expertise in Bell manufacturing systems and in experimental and production processes

· Develops and collects programmatic metrics and supporting data to progress build

· Key Contributor to the future production factory plans

· Some travel during execution of build activities may be required.

Skills You Bring To this Role

Good oral and written communication skillsKnowledge of composite part fabrication, tool index plans, GDT, CATIA V5 or V6, or 3DX Proficiency in MS Office tools of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, VisioExperience working with covered labor force preferred

What you need to be successful

We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate.Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.2 years of experience in the following fields; engineering, manufacturing, and toolingAdvanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
