Product Analyst

Assessment Product Analyst 

The Assessment Product team, within Pearson’s School Assessment organization, strives to create Pearson flagship assessments and tools to support and engage students, families, and educators as they make progress in teaching and learning. The Product Analyst will work closely with Assessment Product team members to support key aspects of delivering on the Pearson Assessment for Learning Suite (PALS) of measurement products. This role will require strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills. 

Responsibilities: 

Product Strategy 

Develop product dashboards that illustrate individual product health within the PALS suite. Support identification of any product trends across the suite, including risks and issues. 

Create a product management knowledge bank, consisting of process documentation, best practices, and points of contact for issue resolution. Analyze bank regularly, adding documentation as needed. 

Support PALS product managers with customer forums, focus groups, surveys, and interviews, as needed. Support documentation to inform future additions to roadmaps. 

Administrative and Customer Support 

Assist in the development of presentations, reports, and other product materials. 

Create and manage access for folder directories shared sites, and other internal and external user accounts. 

Provide administrative support for PALS training team, scheduling customer events during peak business times. 

Troubleshoot and resolve non-technical issues, using support documentation and training. 

Identify issues, manage escalations, follow through on long-term resolutions. 

Budget Management 

Oversee the vendor statement of work creation and tracking process across PALS products. 

Serve as point-of-contact for setting up PALS contractors, routing invoices, and tracking payments against budget. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

Work with PALS product teams to create and update client-facing ancillary materials, including training manuals and user guides. Support Pearson School Assessment implementation teams. 

Maintain product documentation for team members outside of the Assessment Product organization. 

Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree is required 

3 years K-12 educational product or project management or related experience required.  

Experience creating dashboards to illustrate product key performance indicators, as well as for tracking data, such as usage and financial, required. 

Experience with vendor management, creation of statements of work, organizing handoffs, and tracking invoicing preferred. 

Highly detailed-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet daily deadlines. 

Outstanding oral and written communication skills required. Editorial and design experience preferred.  

Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and ability to coordinate multiple activities and adapt to unexpected events required.  

Skill in evaluating, creating and/or providing input on project schedules and process documents required.  

Broad knowledge of common software programs, strong technology skills, and the confidence necessary to work with unfamiliar projects required.  

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York State, New York City, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows: 

The minimum full-time salary range is between $70,000 - $80,000.
