JOB DESCRIPTION: Product Analyst

The Performance product management group is responsible for Performance solutions across FactSet, including FactSet Performance Solution (FPS), Portfolio Vault, B-One, RAS, and GIPS. The product developer sits between sales, clients, and software engineering to lead a unified effort in producing industry-leading, competitive products that meet the needs of our clients. You will become one of a key group of people who make a significant contribution to FactSet’s overall product offering.
The GIPS team is a high-performing, self-organizing team of engineers and product developers who are responsible for discovery, strategy, planning, execution, and launch of FactSet GIPS – a key component of FactSet Performance Solution (FPS). GIPS (Global Investment Performance Standards - https://www.gipsstandards.org/standards/) is a key growth area for Performance solutions. Our team is seeking a highly motivated Product Specialist to contribute to enhancement efforts for the GIPS product suite.
Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of GIPS users and their workflows Ask effective questions in various situations to gather information and uncover user needs Analyze user workflows to arrive at clear vision of needs to optimize the user experience Collaborate with customers, sales, support, stakeholders and development teams to solve problems and design solutions that improve user workflows Support GIPS by answering questions with high quality responses, troubleshooting bugs, and working on enhancement requests Perform prebuild testing for bugs and enhancements, ensuring that best practice testing procedures are followed See projects through to completion, including client facing alerts, QA test cases, internal/external documentation, and any other updates necessary to make sure the project is successful Execute proper internal and external communication of changes, additions and development progress and provide transparency into the development queue
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required Strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player Enthusiasm, strong sense of initiative and a desire to take ownership of project work Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members in offices globally Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with shifting priorities and responsibilities
Highly Desired:
