This position within the EA organization manages work that is central to the transformation and optimization of enterprise IT landscapes. You will work cross-functionally with other project teams to deliver strategic initiatives, ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, and help establish scalable solutions across IT. As a primary contributor to our EA Product Management Value team, this is a pivotal role participating in shaping the strategy, development, and execution of our EA Value Team’s product portfolio. Assignments are varied and diverse, from monitoring results from our internal research campaigns to writing code to publishing our content on our internal web site to developing integrations with our EA modeling platform. This person will apply standard software development techniques to carry out analysis, support problem resolution, perform light-weight programming, and resolve issues based on feedback and usage of our products and services.
This is an analytical role that requires technical skills. The right person will gain exposure to the operations and techniques of Enterprise and Business Architects through project analysis engagements, from planning through delivery.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
6+ years demonstrable experience using programming languages and tools such as Java Script, Python, HTML/CSS, or SharePoint to deliver integrated software solutions in a secure corporate environment.
Experience managing source code repositories in a multi-user environment using tools such as Git.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking responsibility for personal time management plus contributing to planning ceremonies.
Experience working in a formal SDLC environment with scripted software packaging and release controls.
Demonstrated experience applying critical and design thinking skills to solve complicated business or technical problems.
Experience participating in formal project delivery methodologies such as Scaled Agile Framework (SaFE) or similar. Participate as part of a team in long-range planning.
Key Responsibilities
Participate as an active member of the EA agile value team. Contribute to backlog grooming and agile ceremonies. Manage assignments from start to finish. Take on assignments from other agile projects as requirements are prioritized. Proactively communicate status and personal capacity to program leads, balancing expectations and always delivering on commitments.
Undertakes complete design of moderately complex software integration, applications, or components. Applies agreed standards, guidelines, patterns, and tools. Assists as part of a team in the design of components of larger software systems. Assists in the evaluation of options and trade-offs. Collaborates in reviews of work with others as appropriate.
Enables and maintains software configuration management capability across heterogeneous technology environments, architectures, and vendor platforms.
Develops and employes software management methods empowering creation, renewal, update, and destruction of data subject to given objectives regarding security, compliance policies, scalability, efficiency, reliability, and supportability.
Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritization activities for small-scale changes and assists with more complex change initiatives. Follows agreed standards and applies appropriate techniques to elicit and document detailed requirements. Provides constructive challenge to stakeholders as required. Reviews requirements for errors and omissions. Prioritizes requirements and documents traceability to source. Provides input to the requirements baseline. Investigates, manages, and applies authorized requests for changes to base-lined requirements, in line with change management policy.
Uses agreed procedures to create and maintain an accurate register of assets. Performs activities related to the administration of assets. Produces routine reports to assist asset management activities and decision-making. Takes on ownership of general software management activities such as backup/restore, system monitoring, tech support, or interacting with vendor support.
