The Role
To provide technical support per product line, introduction of new products, ongoing information regarding product performance and recommendations to improve performance, ownership of product line market share and to develop effective sales strategy per product line. Maintain link between product area and sales area.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the formulation of the divisional strategy in line with company strategy.Develop sales area (Rock Tools) strategy aligned to the divisional strategy for submission to the Business Line Manager Rock ToolsIncrease profitability by coaching Operations Managers and their teams in managing customer performance and/or cost per metre contractsConduct competitor monitoring and analysis of the competitive landscape for all product portfolios in the product line.Provide strategic oversight of all product portfolios in all the product line with the assistance of Product line Specialists.Develop and communicate customer value proposition for product line portfolio.Ensure all the product portfolios include the lifecycle perspective.Support with new product development.Define and size market segments per for the product line including conducting gap analysis.Manage sound employee relations in accordance with People policies and proceduresProfile Required
Grade 12 / Equivalent qualificationBusiness Management or Financial degreeDegree in Mining Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 7), Certificate of competence (Mine Manager or Government Certificate of Competency Engineering), MBA/MBL (advantageous)At least 5 years Rock Tools Contract Management experience, of which 3 years must be at Senior Management level.Willingness to travelEnglish proficiencyComputer literacyPhysically and medically fit to work in a mining environment.Valid drivers’ licenseHow to apply
