Job Description

Our client is a fabrication manufacturer of Architect components for ceiling/walls.  

They are currently looking to hire for Production Assemblers. 

Location: Dixon Rd & Matin Grove Rd (Etobicoke)

 

Pay Range : $19.00-$20.00 per hour

 

Shift: Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4pm

 

Duration: Ongoing contract with potential for permanent hire any time after 3 months

 

Build architectural components using metal, wood and other materials, often with very sensitive finishes. Work closely with Supervisors/Team Leads, following instructions with a keen attention to detail and a clear understanding of expectations to fulfill the production delivery plan for the day. Be highly involved in the assembly and fabrication of millwork related projects, as well as assembly of custom architectural projects using fabricated parts made from sheet metal, extrusions, wood, fabric, stone, plastic and other materials. Assembling/dry fitting/collating and packing of job specific orders from preassembled product in inventory. Building of custom crates/skids and other custom shipping methods for safe shipment of our highly custom and unique creations. Experience operating power tools such as drills, screw guns, saws, drill presses, routers, nailers and sanders. Knowledgeable in safe working methods with a strong knowledge of safe shop practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, quality control and safety equipment. Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements2 to 5 years of relevant finish carpentry/cabinet/woodworking experience 2 to 5 years of relevant warehouse/production experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Excellent communications both written and spoken. Motivated and self-driven to accomplish time sensitive goals. Able to work with others, receive instructions as a team player. Fork truck experience (preferred) Basic math skills with the ability to visualize how pieces fit together to create three-dimensional objects Physical Stamina for standing long periods and doing repetitive tasks. Detail oriented and comfortable working in noisy and dusty environments (hearing and breathing PPE provided as required per company H&S policy) Able to lift 60 lbs.

Experience:

Carpentry, custom wood fabrication or Fine detailed millwork construction: 2 years (Preferred) Construction: 2 years (Preferred)
