Job Summary

Reports to: Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst.Watkins has an exciting opportunity to welcome a new colleague to our Product Compliance team. This vital role helps ensure products align with national and international regulatory standards. If you are an organized person with a keen attention to detail, enjoy analysis, and strive for integrity, quality, and customer focus in your career, this is the position for you!The Product Compliance Specialist will support the Engineering team in compliance certification processes and, if necessary, problem resolution between safety agencies and company.

Additionally, the Product Compliance Specialist will help ensure that our products comply with relevant global environmental regulations, and directives (e.g. RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, etc.), among other compliance activities

Primary Responsibilities

Assists with the ongoing identification of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the field of product regulatory compliance related to Watkins products.Assist with the preparation of external product certifications and registrations to support existing businesses and secure business growth. Monitor, and continuously improve product compliance process to ensure all product submittals are completed on a timely basis.

Maintain accurate records of product compliance activities, including test reports, certificates, and other documentation required by regulatory agencies.

Assist in the collection, management, and analysis of product regulatory compliance data. Organize and categorize documents, test reports, etc., ensuring easy retrieval and access for relevant stakeholders.

Assist in the development of a certificate database such that it can easily identify the product compliance status.Conduct regular internal product audits to ensure adherence to product safety certificates.Assist in the development and administration of product regulatory compliance training.Monitor for new and/or changes to existing product regulatory compliance laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Key Skills Required

Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong communication experience with international teams, well-versed with remote working protocols, including virtual collaboration tools, cross-time-zone and best communication practices.Ability to use a computer for 8.5 hours per day.Ability to use MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in product compliance, preferably in the household appliances or electronics industries.Good understanding of regulatory frameworks.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and regulatory requirements.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.Organization, project management, and strategic planning skills.Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis, 8D, 5Why, PDCA methodologies, etc. Well versed with MS Excel Industry experience in electronics or manufacturing, plumbing preferred. Time management.

Experience with regulatory submission and interactions with regulatory agencies is a plus.Experience working with safety agencies such as UL, Intertek, TUV SUD, IAPMO, is a plus.

Other Mandatory Requirement:

Must Have Broadband Availability: Minimum 30 MBPS - Only connections from national service providers such as Jio, Tata, Airtel, or Hathway Fiber are acceptable. Local or unverified internet providers are not aligned with MHPI IT policy and should not be used for official work.Home Office Setup (Mandatory): Working space to accommodate two monitors +1 laptop (necessary equipment will be provided + additional tools -role if any).The candidate must have access to a quiet and dedicated home office environment that supports productive remote work.IT Asset Arrangement: All necessary equipment (based on role)- including One/two monitors, one laptop, and supporting accessories will be provided by the company. Candidates must ensure safe and secure setup and usage of these assets.

This setup is non-negotiable and essential to ensure uninterrupted workflow, secure data handling, and effective collaboration. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Education

Associate degree in a STEM-related field.Professional certifications in regulatory affairs or related fields are desirable
