Product Configuration Specialist
JOB SUMMARY: The Product Configuration Specialist I is responsible for analyzing and interpreting customer drawings and blueprints to create and document Indium Corporation part numbers and bills of material. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES): • Analyze and interpret customer produced engineering documentation to create part numbers and bills of material • Exercise effective organizational and work management skills to produce multiple unique part numbers under time-sensitive conditions • Meet or exceeds established speed and accuracy metrics for required tasks • Access, navigate, research and enter data using various systems and software, including Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and the enterprise resource planning system • Research, establish and maintain solutions based upon drawings, blueprint reading, customer data specifications, and/or special engineering product requests, as it relates to bills of material structuring, customer parts and costing • Accurately perform mathematical calculations using basic math functions, unit of measure conversions, and geometry • Ensure work is accurate and well-documented according to all quality management system standards • Collaborate with various Indium Corporation departments, including sales, engineering and quality to provide/obtain information and/or evaluation • Attend training as needed or assigned • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned REQUIREMENTS: • High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in technical discipline preferred; • Equivalent work experience may be considered. • Proficient at intermediate math applications • PC proficient, intermediate Microsoft Excel skills • Highly analytical and detail-oriented • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written WAGE DISCLOSURE: The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
