Product Data Lead (Team Lead)

ABOUT STREAM / DEPARTMENT: WHERE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

This is a core data leadership role focused on building strong product relationships and driving data-driven decision-making within the Fulfilment Product Group. You will lead the expansion of our analytics and analytics engineering capabilities, advocating for an AI-first product thinking approach. Your expertise in causal AI and experimentation will be instrumental in shaping product roadmaps and steering strategic direction.

You will lead and develop a team of analysts and analytics engineers, fostering a consulting-oriented approach to problem-solving. You will champion best practices, build strong stakeholder relationships, and cultivate a culture of evidence-based decision-making. Your insights will directly influence product strategy and drive meaningful business outcomes.

This role reports to the Head of Data for Fulfilment and oversees a growing team based in Poland supporting global operations.

ROLE ITSELF: WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with product teams, becoming a trusted advisor. Advocate for data-driven decision-making and an AI-first approach to product development, shaping and steering product roadmaps through insights derived from techniques such as causal AI and experimentation. Lead, mentor, and develop an Analytics team, fostering a high-performance, consulting-focused culture. Drive the adoption of analytics engineering principles, optimising data pipelines and modeling for efficiency and insight generation. Collaborate with data science to implement/influence machine learning approaches to enhance our products. Translate complex analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations that drive business impact. Provide technical guidance on SQL, Python and statistical analysis, ensuring robust methodologies are applied. Thrive in ambiguity, bringing structure and clarity to complex challenges while confidently questioning and refining strategies.

Key skills and experience:

Proven experience in building strong product relationships and influencing product strategy. Demonstrated ability to advocate for data-driven and AI-first product thinking. Experience in shaping product roadmaps through insights gained via techniques such as causal AI and experimentation. Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development, mentorship, and fostering a consulting-oriented approach. Commercial acumen, with a track record of driving business value through data insights and analytics. Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in experimentation, hypothesis testing, and statistical analysis. Experience in product-led environments, where analytics plays a central role in product development. Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas and communicate effectively. Familiarity with machine learning and causal AI concepts and their practical applications. A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, balancing high-level direction with practical execution. Comfortable operating autonomously in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
