Position SummaryPurpose of the Position
This role is responsible for assisting, performing under guidance engineering tasks in design, development, prototype fabrication, product testing support, and value engineering relative to design, development and production of new products. Additional scope includes performing engineering analysis, as required.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in design, engineering and product development activities of centrifugal pumps for industrial applications such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical & related industries.
• Create 3D parametric models and manufacturing drawings using Creo, PDLM tools.
• Understands and interprets engineering data necessary for preparation of production drawings.
• Provides support to supervisors in helping production in analyzing problems and implementing corrective actions.
• Design and develop new products for use in variety of standard and special applications.
• Interfaces with IP design and manufacturing locations world-wide as per requirement.
Background/Experience:
Experience, education, skills, and background
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical engineering with knowledge of Mechanical design and Drafting.
• 4 to 6 years’ experience with a solid track record in Industrial process pumps related to API or ANSI standards.
• Knowledge of minimum Basic Hydraulic and Pump Fundamentals.
• Highly experienced in Reverse engineering using Geomagic software, 3D scanning, PDLM tool, General & Casting manufacturing processes.
• Experienced in drawing reading and detailing of pump components.
• Familiar with ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and tolerancing, including GD&T
• Minimum 4 years of exp. in Castings, advance Creo Surfacing, Geomagic & Windchill.
• Proactive approach to planning, organization capabilities and problem resolution.
• Superior interpersonal, analytical skills and communication (both written and oral) skills to support remote working with global engineering teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
• Highly Self-motivated and a willingness to make a difference and learn.
• Works well in team environment – team player.
