In this position...
Develop/support dealer diagnostic content for Ford /Lincoln/and JV Programs. This candidate will be responsible for authoring / repurposing Open Test Exchange (OTX) service functions to support new vehicle delivery / module replacement commissioning.
Ideal Candidate:
· The ideal candidate is one which has a good understanding of vehicle communications protocols (CAN/LIN/DOIP). Familiarity with standard software coding practices, XML data structures, using Microsoft office, and experience with Grade-X OTX Editor, are required skills for this position
Familiar with vehicle electrical architectures
· Demonstrates ability to manage project from ideation to final implementation.
· Familiar with standard software development environments (Python, C#, Java, C++, etc).
o Also requires familiarity with basic programming constructs (i.e. Boolean Variables, loops, functions, etc
· Demonstrates strong problem solving skills
· Experience servicing or repairing vehicles (or) similar technical systems
· Proficient in English language – able to interpret technical specifications.

BCE Service Function Author Responsibilities:
· Develop global Body/Chassis/Electrical Service functions using Open Test Exchange (OTX), (and Java where appropriate).
· Interface with Product Engineering to understand new system requirements and implement robust Open Test Exchange (OTX) routines.
· Manage and understand CAN data to support application development / debug.
· Validate solutions using both simulation and on vehicle validation.
· Work with Design and Release engineers to resolve issues within Part 2 specifications
· Work with Technical Assistance Center to resolve diagnostic issues in the field - Respond to field issues with urgency.
· Implement Module DID's to support datalogger as a diagnostic solution
