Product Design Intern Opportunities

You'll create and develop design concepts and specifications that optimize the emotional and functional experience of a product, software, device, or service. Your focus will be on end-to-end user experiences, empathizing and balancing these experiences with business and technical tradeoffs. You will produce visual designs from concept through delivery and sustainment, support interaction designs for software-based experiences, and contribute to hardware product designs. Additionally, you will contribute to the broader design system, increasing its adoption and consistent usage. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** + Seeks information about the customer through research (e.g., reads customer publications, speaks with peers and customers) to learn about their business, needs, and strategy and keeps up to date with customer business and business outcomes. Communicates customer insights to internal teams (e.g., Engineering, Specialists, Account teams). + Work closely with product managers and engineers, bringing a purely customer-centric mindset to the table to deliver high-quality outcomes that empower customers to do more. + Produce designs that illustrate UI excellence and transpire clear and objective user experiences. Deliverables may include storyboards, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and vision pieces. + Coordinates internal peers across functions to support business outcomes and enable execution of customer success through One Microsoft. + Be an avid customer advocate, mastering customer needs and using feedback, user goals, data, and business requirements to drive clear UX direction on the product. + Leverages development opportunities (e.g., mentorships, role-based resources, trainings) and builds partnerships with technical teams (e.g., Cloud Solutions Architects, Fastrack, Engineering) to build own Customer Success discipline expertise, including product and required technical skills. **Qualifications** Required Qualifications: + Currently pursuing a Bachelor's/Masters Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field . + Must have at least 1 semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship + Qualified candidates must attach their portfolio to their application. + You must be legally authorised to work in Ireland to be eligible for this role. + (Legally authorised = Has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit) The internship is set to begin in June 2025 and will last for a duration of 12 weeks. At the end of your internship, depending on business need, budget, and your performance, you may be eligible for a full-time position.
