**DESCRIPTION**
**Job Summary**
Creates and maintains specifications (drawings and models) of Cummins products in accordance with company, industry, national, and international standards, while driving organizational performance and quality.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Design and Documentation:**
+ Create and maintain product specifications, including **2D and 3D CAD models** , utilizing **Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)** .
+ Develop complete specifications, including configured engineering bills of materials, solid models, and detailed drawings.
+ Ensure quality and accuracy in models and drawings per company and industry standards.
**Product Configuration and Change Management:**
+ Utilize **PLM (Windchill)** and CAD tools for configuration control, data security, and product change management.
+ Manage and track product lifecycle changes from concept to obsolescence, ensuring artifact baseline integrity.
**Collaboration and Process Improvement:**
+ Process internal engineering work requests and collaborate with cross-functional teams as required.
+ Support the maintenance of standards and practices to ensure design quality.
+ Participate in **Drawing Quality Reviews** and engage with required functional areas.
**Technical Knowledge Application:**
+ Apply knowledge of sheet-metal parts, assemblies, and engineering processes in product design and drafting.
+ Leverage insights into **on-road and off-road equipment** and genset products to enhance design outcomes.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ **Mechanical Design Modeling and Analysis** : Create CAD models to support system-level design and analysis, including Dimensional Variation Analysis and Finite Element Analysis.
+ **Mechanical Design of Mechanical Systems** : Develop robust mechanical systems that meet lifecycle and operational requirements in diverse environments.
+ **Mechanical Design Specification** : Produce detailed specifications that align with Cummins, national, international, and industry standards.
+ **Product Configuration and Change Management** : Manage and communicate product changes effectively while ensuring artifact integrity.

**Education, Licenses, Certifications**
+ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
+ High school diploma or equivalent in a STEM field may also be considered.
+ Regionally applicable certification or associate’s degree in a relevant field may be required.
+ Licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations may apply.
**Experience**
+ Minimum **2-4 years** of experience in CAD design and drafting with **Creo/ProE** .
+ Hands-on experience in **sheet-metal concept design** , drafting, and **PLM (Windchill)** .
+ Knowledge of **systems engineering processes** and product lifecycle management.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Skills/Knowledge**
+ Expertise in **Creo (latest version)** for 2D and 3D design.
+ Proficiency in GD&T, engineering terminology, and product change management.
+ Knowledge of genset products and **on-road/off-road equipment** design.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
+ Ability to multitask, learn quickly, and understand various product features and interdependencies.
