The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

As part of the Business Agility organization, the Product Designer collaborates with GRS Technology to execute a digital strategy that balances business objectives and technology investments. They work closely with business, technical, and product leads to understand the business vision and objectives, identifying opportunities for competitive advantage.

 

The Product Designer leverages their expertise in user-centered design to create solutions that prioritize ease of use, employ best-in-class interaction design, and optimize the user experience. Through this collaboration, the aim is to anticipate the needs of clients and partners, providing our teams with valuable insights to make winning decisions.

 

 Responsibilities:

 

Under general direction, creates user experience and visual design solutions for assigned projects (or a functional area) based on business objectives and user researchMay work more independently on less complex projectsOptimizes multi-step user flows using various design tools (e.g. experience and service design maps, journey maps, concepts, storyboards, wireframes and prototypes)Maintains the defined UX and brand standards in the execution of visual, interaction and motion designProposes changes or new standards as needed and contributes to pattern library with markupParticipates in the objective-setting and discovery process, including user persona development and interpreting user goals, and may lead some user research activities under supervision of Research TeamCollects and interprets results of user research, concept testing, and usability testing to make design recommendationsActs as an advocate for the end user within a cross-functional teamWorks collaboratively by sharing designs early and often, seeking constructive feedback and integrating feedback to improve solutions Qualifications As typically acquired through a Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of experience in a related field:Familiarity with methodologies such as Agile, Design Thinking, Lean UX, and Lean StartupFamiliarity with the following core disciplines, with demonstrated proficiency in at least two: visual design, UX design, prototyping, front-end development, user research and/or experiment designExceptional written and oral communication skillsAbility to present projects and status reports to team leadershipStrong organization and analytic thinking skills, with ability to translate content into user scenarios, flows and diagramsProven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams About Us
