Product Designer
At EY tech.collective, we are on a mission to build tax and law software products for increased efficiency, quality, and joy. We help thousands of clients with services such as producing accurate, compliant tax filings and navigating the complex international tax landscape.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Product Designer to join us in creating and evolving amazing tools that highly skilled professionals love to use every day. You will be enabled to optimize the way our teams work and empowered to pursue innovative solutions to real world problems by making use of your amazing Product Design skills.
As a Product Designer at the tech.collective you will play a key role in projects that are crucial for EY’s strategy. You will collaborate with a skilled team of Product Designers, UX Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers to turn great ideas into high quality solutions, being an integral and valued voice in the end-to-end product development process.
Key responsibilities
Craft human-centric, efficient and delightful solutions
Design wireframes and prototypes that demonstrate in detail how a solution will look and function
Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that your solutions align with people’s needs, business goals and technical capabilities.
Communicate design decisions and rationale to team members and stakeholders.
Make sure that the final product released meets a high level of quality.
Create and maintain patterns to ensure a consistent experience across our product suite.
Work alongside UX Researchers to understand the experiences of our users, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure that our solutions are intuitive and user-friendly.
Nurture close bonds with Engineers, Product Managers, Stakeholders and other members of the Tax and Law team.
What we look for
Tax filings, tax processing and tax law are some of the domains we design and build for, so having an interest in those areas would be great. Actual experience and domain knowledge is of course a plus, but certainly not a requirement.
Above all, we value working with people who are driven, curious, skilled, proactive and pleasant to work with. We imagine you bring to the table:
A minimum of three years' experience in digital product design, and the portfolio to demonstrate that.
A deep understanding of human-centred design that is evident in your work.
A passion for exploring, ideating, and developing solutions that, besides addressing people’s needs, are great to look at and interact with.
A great sense of empathy to connect deeply with the people who use our products so you can provide them with solutions they look forward to using every day.
A knack for making the complex appear simple with your Information Architecture skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills since you will be working with a global interdisciplinary team.
Proficiency in designing and prototyping in Figma.
While a bachelor’s degree in related fields such as graphic design, interaction design, human-computer interaction is appreciated, it is not required. Your real-world experience matters more to us.
