As the Product Designer II for Bits AI, you will own the end-to-end design of Datadog’s chatbot, Bits AI, in desktop and Slack.
The Bits AI chatbot surfaces insights from a user’s environment and correlates key data from across the Datadog platform through generative AI and large language models (LLM). Based on prompts, Bits AI can help users resolve issues and streamline explorations by suggesting pertinent dashboards, creating synthetic tests, and finding relevant workflows to trigger. You’ll be responsible for understanding in-depth how Datadog users can leverage AI and work closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Scientists to design intuitive and novel experiences.
We are seeking a designer who is passionate about AI and excited about the possibilities it unlocks for observability and incident response. You will work on the Service Management, Automation, and Response Tools design team, collaborate with Design Systems on AI UI patterns, and work alongside a Staff Product Designer for Bits AI, contributing to Datadog’s vision for AI. Additionally, you will be part of a dedicated Engineering and Product team based in the New York office.

Communicate your design work and the support for your design decisions internally to your product team and the whole company. Work closely with engineering teams to understand how your designs will be built and Q/A them before we ship. Who You Are: You have 4+ years of experience in digital product design.
