The Product Design team designs, validates and brings new products to market.; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety. Collaborates with internal partners to optimize designs for manufacturability.

The Analyst - Industrial Designer is responsible for creating the customer experience for the next generation of home appliances. This person will support efforts to understand emerging trends, seek out real-life insights, conceive user interface design solutions, and assure uncompromising usability.
Your responsibilities will includeDesign Analyst designer is responsible for collaborating with senior designers on conceptualization, visualization, and development of new products having an AVERAGE level of difficulty, sense of aesthetics and user experience.
Works to understand and support the development of User Experience and Brand Design strategies.
Develops a basic manufacturing and industry knowledge, user needs, processes, and design influencers to develop a wide range of desirable concepts.
Learn the product development processes, people, and design values.
Manages personal time based on a detailed task list and delivery timelines.
Capable of communicating design solutions with internal design teams.
With direction from the supervisor, creates documentation of design assets for various projects.
Influences peer teams within GCD by creating desirable assets, Develops personal professional skills, Comprehends and executes strategies.
Supports Senior design staff in the design process to reach clear, defined, and inspiring final design solutions. With moderate direction, manage creative activities for assigned tasks.
Minimum requirementsBachelor's degree in Industrial Design from an accredited school
3-7 years design experience in a corporate or consultant environment
3D Computer modeling & rendering skills
Excellent project management and planning skills
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate communication across different disciplines
Excellent decision-making abilities and self-motivation
Adaptability and flexibility to change as designs and processes improve over time.
Excellent 2D visual digital and analog communication skills.
Strong abilities in sketching, idealization, and conceptualization
Technical skills aimed to increase team understanding and action: Crafting concept mock-ups, video, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keyshot, and slide presentations.
