Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $91,000.00 - $121,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

The Product Manager position is responsible for ensuring all upgrades, modifications, and installations meet the requirements of the business line and pass Unit Acceptance Testing. This position is responsible for the Commercial Depository product set, which includes Core Banking, Commercial Depository Accounts, Sweep Processing and Account Analysis.  The candidate should be able to work independently on multiple projects with long term goals and have a keen eye for detail.

Communication skills will be imperative as they will work within teams including other business constituents including IT, Sales, Operations, Legal, and Compliance. The candidate will learn the technical background of the product suite, its architecture, and be able to identify future opportunities when they arise. 

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to be responsible for ensuring all upgrades, modifications, and installations meet the requirements of the business line and pass Unit Acceptance Testing.

Essential Functions

Ensure upgrades, modifications, and installations meet the requirements of the business line and pass unit acceptance testing

Collaborate with technology teams and other Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring smooth implementation of product features

Represent Commercial line of business interests on oversight committees related to Core Deposits

Contributes to the development and implementation of all business initiatives and tasks

Gain insight into customer needs and identify opportunities that solve market problems

Facilitate task-based meetings, such as priority or status meetings

Effectively participate in team meetings related to their product(s) and provide meaningful feedback and insights

Contribute to the product rollout (including enhancements, upgrades, or customer conversions) alongside partners including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product, IT, and Customer Support

Work closely with IT teams to ensure functionality requirements are accurate and being completed in a timely manner

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Strong knowledge of deposit systems, integrations, and traction posting – preferably related to large commercial depository customers

Knowledge of sweep processing; including loan, investment, and target balance accounts

Knowledge of technical concepts including system architecture, database connectivity, API’s, and middleware integrations

Strong analytical skills and capable of problem identification and resolution

Ability to effectively learn the technical background of our Core Banking Platform and Account Analysis, including an understanding of the architecture, and be able to identify risks and future opportunities or issues when they arise

Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing, including development of detailed test scripts

Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook  

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required

5+ years product management/development, or equivalent experience working with Commercial Deposits or strategic areas of Deposit Operations or Information technology required

Temenos Transact experience preferred

*Hybrid Schedule: In office 2 days per week

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $91,000 to $121,000 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
