Product Development Engineer

Purpose:

Are you looking for an opportunity to work collaboratively to deliver impactful business results to support growth? Delta Faucet Company has an opportunity for a Product Development Engineer to join our staff. You will partner with highly motivated multi-functional teammates to deliver impactful product changes that deliver on cost, quality and service goals. This role reports directly to the Lead Project Engineer. This is an opportunity to join our team in a full-time position that is anticipated to last 12 to 24 months and includes standard benefits.   

Responsibilities:

Collaboratively lead design reviews, updates and validation plans with internal resources and external partners to maintain quality standardsExecute changes to existing product by leading components and modules through design, first article, engineering builds, pilot runs, and PPAPManage product and system specifications to define requirements for the models or componentsLead technical team resources, design requirements development, and design risk assessment throughout project execution using DFC design standards/specs (DS), APQP methodologies, and NPD launch stage gate processesEstablish and validate system level product requirements using DVP+R, simulation, and prototyping techniquesLead technical issue resolution teams, identifying and implementing root causeDesign, build, and execute test plans, clearly presenting results and impact of technical issues to a diverse group.Scope, handle and approve technical tradeoffs to deliver requirements for production integrationTravel up to 10% within the United States & Internationally


Education & Experience:

Possess a BS in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology field from an accredited four-year college or university2+ years of product design, PPAP, design verification and validation experience, or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious experience in a systems engineering practitioner role with knowledge of systems engineering tools, techniques, and standard methodologiesOutstanding soft skills with excellent written and verbal communication capabilities, able to collaborate, interact, and influence business and technical partners and leaders at all levels of the organizationExcellent analytical and structured problem-solving skills along with the ability to simplify complex problemsExperience with engineering modeling software CAD software (preferably Creo) and FEAFamiliarity with manufacturing processes, including injection molding, die casting, stamping, finishing and assemblyAbility to lead multiple concurrent assignmentsExperience with design for manufacturability, cost estimation, GD&T, Systems DFMEA, PPAP and design verification and validation

Hiring Range: $62,300.00 - $97,900.00
