Overview:
Prysmian is seeking a people-oriented and change management champion to support our Power Distribution business. In your new role you will be reporting directly to the Product Development Director for Power Distribution and will be integral to the continued success as well as the future growth with our customers. Your role will interact with the internal and external customers in order to understand and solve their unique challenges. You will be responsible for end-to-end product development, design to cost, product improvement, and support of new product introduction.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for new-product development projects to ensure they meet technical, quality, commercial and operation objectives.Contribute to material cost reduction programs through new process/material introductions.Guide the development and implementation of new products, working closely with manufacturing, quality, and commercial product management.Meet with customers to determine potential product development opportunities to improve overall business performance and portfolio.Work on long term company strategy in sustainability and innovation.Act as internal liaison between manufacturing and the product teams to identify customer requirements, emerging trends and changing marketplace directions.Prepare test plans for internal labs and third-party approval agencies.Responsible for third-party submittals listings (UL, CSA, RUS, etc.) and final approval adopting the widest range of approval that can be granted.Actively participate in appropriate technical committees and standards development (UL, CSA, IEEE, ICEA, etc.) that affect product development.Anticipated travel required 10%-30%.Key Characteristics:
