JOB PURPOSE

OTIF Delivery of Ice cream Innovation/Renovation or Cost Saving program.

Ice cream formulation development should meet Unilever Quality and Safety Standard such as GMP, HACCP, FSSC and etc) and align with Food Regulations, project/concept brief, and business target on product costing and target margin.

Innovation of ice cream must meet Unilever Sustainable Living Plans such as nutrition and sustainability program.

Leading on Product Quality improvement and Complexity reduction in ice cream ingredients portfolio.  

Be able to propose Design of Experimental to Line Manager/Technical Project Leader (TPL)

Actively interacts/engages with the Project Management Team and can recommend actions for his assigned projects

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Innovation Development

Product development for OTIF Delivery and meet Project Brief/Concept

Identifying and Developing ice cream from existing ingredients list.

Co-leading the Product Innovations Meeting  

Scale-up of product innovations/renovations with minimal guidance from the Line Manager

Providing the technical recommendations rely on relevant Key Unilever Technologies

Conducting Technical Risk Assessment with minimal guidance from Technical Project Leader

Developing ingredients for ice cream use with minimal guidance from Line Manager

•  Conducts product stability testing both for Raw Materials and Finished Goods.

Ensures product formulation compliance with country regulatory requirements

Prepare documents for FDA/HALAL product registration and to ensure the correctness of information and ensure application is done within agreed timings.

Upholding R&D Systems and SOPs

R&D SOPs

Data completeness and accuracy

BOM and Specs maintenance of products in SAP PLM

Value Improvement Project Delivery

Delivers and monitors cost savings projects of specific platforms being handled

Other Key Accountabilities

Handles trouble shooting in Production for specific projects with alignment from Line Manager

Evaluates alternative raw material through sample preparation up to material stability test.

Qualifications

Preferably a BS Food Technology graduate or related (open to BS Chemical Engineering and BS Chemistry graduates)

Has at least 2 years of Research and Development (R&D) work experience in the food industry

Experienced in product development and launching new products (such as bread, sauces, milk, etc.)
