JOB PURPOSE
Develops innovations and renovation of Take Home ice cream
Ensures smooth technology transfer of product scale-up to Factory
Ensures innovations are within Unilever and country regulatory standards (Quality, Health and Safety Standards)
Actively interacts/engages with the PMM Team, can recommend actions for the assigned project
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Innovation and Renovation Development
Develops new product that meets innovation product brief
Renovates existing products to maintain product superiority
Create new flavor concepts/ingredients for innovation roadmap
Support on the hit team process
Supports claims generation process
Scale-up of product innovations/renovations with minimal guidance from the Line Manager
Test and provides recommendation on the implementation of relevant Key Unilever Technologies
Performs Risk Assessment of innovation & renovation projects with minimal guidance from Line Manager
Development of ingredients for ice cream use with minimal guidance from Line Manager
Conducts product stability testing both for RMs and FGs
Ensures product formulation compliance with country regulatory requirements and nutrition guidelines
2. Upholding R&D Systems and SOPs
Complies to internal and external regulatory requirements
R&D SOPs
Data completeness and accuracy
Specifications and BOM maintenance of ingredients and products in SAP PLM
PIRD creation in SAP PLM
Safety Assessment in PHAROS
3. VIP Delivery
Delivers and monitors cost savings projects of specific platforms being handled
4. Other Key Accountabilities
Handles trouble shooting in Production for specific projects with alignment from Line Manager
Evaluates alternative raw materials through sample preparation up to material stability test
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent sensory evaluation skills
High degree of flexibility to handle multiple projects and ability to quickly understand new projects
Resilience: Ability to cope with time pressure and challenge
Team player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional team
Strong engagement, presentation, and communication skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to details
Highly creative and innovative
Working knowledge in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience in using SAP PLM would be an advantage
Educational background: BS Food Technology or related discipline (BS Chemical Engineering, BS Chemistry)
Years of experience: Preferably with at least 3-yr experience in FMCG R&D. Open to fresh graduates.
Industry: Food Manufacturing (preferably with dairy, chocolates, or confectionary background)
