Product Development Manager, Wallcovering

POSITION PROFILE
The Product Development Manager - Wallcovering, in collaboration with the Product Development Director – Soft Goods, helps to coordinate the design vision and creative direction for HOLLY HUNT Walls.  In this role, you will work to source and design new product for wallcovering collections, while also sourcing new vendors and mills. The Product Development manager will work closely with both the Product Development Director and the Exec Creative Director to consistently produce products that support the HOLLY HUNT brands. HOLLY HUNT textile brands include: Great Plains, Great Outdoors, Beyond Borders, Hunt Leather and Holly Hunt Trim with an emphasis on HOLLY HUNT Walls.  International travel is required.  This is an hands-on role based at the HOLLY HUNT Design Studio. 

Primary responsibilities include, but are limited to:
•    Use creative direction, provided by VP/Executive Creative Director to source/design new wallcoverings.
•    Utilizing abstracts from Merchandising, provide innovative solutions and creative insight for product design in relation to market demands, trend analysis and company image. 
•    Lead color work and design work of new product, working closely with Product Development Director to ensure new designs are executed.
•    Help to prepare, attend, and document all development meetings with Exec Creative Director, Sales and Merchandising. 
•    Assist with the preparation of inspiration boards for wallcoverings, including color trend analysis and design research.
•    Collaborate with Marketing and Merchandising to ensure the creative spirit of new product launches are clearly communicated and carried through all marketing channels: social media; sales communications and training materials.
•    With Product Development Director, assist with all launch photo shoots, by providing styling and design direction on site, tracking fabrication of assets and monitoring deliveries
•    In coordination with the Product Launch Coordinator, manage all launch deliveries and inspections and prepare weekly updates for bindery and inbound team. 
•    In collaboration with Product Development Director, Soft Goods, lead the formation of new relationships with vendors via regular communication and domestic and international travel. Attend all in-house vendor meetings. 
•    Ensure developments and department milestones are met and adhere to financial targets.
•    Share product information and details with the BU and Sales

Minimum Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree 
•    3 - 5 years related experience 
•    Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook knowledge preferred
•    Wallcovering knowledge and understanding of development and production preferred
•    Must be comfortable with collaboration, multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, and working in a fast-paced environment
•    International product sourcing experience (preferred).
•    Strong knowledge of high end luxury product and client buying experience
•    Outstanding organization and communication skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to communicate with all levels in an organization
