This position is for a Product Development Project Engineer – Seating Systems in the Interiors and Driver’s Environment within the Global Body Engineering group. The Product Development Project Engineer – Seating Systems serves as a central resource for the delivery of Interior and Driver’s Environment systems with emphasis on driver comfort and ergonomics with regards to seats.
Duties include Design, CAD modeling, BOM structure development, Engineering Releases and development of Engineering Requirements & Verification plans for New Product Development. The role will also support Sustaining projects including current product manufacturing and field issues root causing and determining engineering resolutions. The individual will provide support during system and vehicle validation as well as travel to test facilities and build events at manufacturing facilities. They will work with Supplier Quality and Purchasing as the project moves through program gates from concept to production. Involvement may last throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line for seats.

Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 3 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experienceOR
PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
