Product Development Technician
The Product Development Technician is responsible for developing and executing new product constructions and composite test plans. The Product Development Technician works within an AS9100 continuous improvement quality culture.
What you’ll be doing as a Product Development Technician:
· Evaluating new products and raw materials daily.
· Developing and documenting new process conditions, test results, and other data.
· Maintaining a safe, clean work area with FOD free objective.
· Assisting with controlling raw material and consumables inventories
· Surveilling processes and work environment for operational, safety, regulations along with policies, and procedures.
· Demonstrate working knowledge of sound experimental design practices.
· Continuously improving new process and product variation.
· Assist in creating new products of various composites, textiles, coatings, foams, and additive manufacturing technologies.
· Other tasks as related and requested i.e. Conduct Quality Safety audits and inspections.

Product Development Technician

Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands.
· Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
· Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
· Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
· Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
Skills You Bring To this Role
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Effective team player, with good critical thinking skills.
· General working knowledge of Military and ASTM Specification preferred.
· Degree or Technical certificate for related fieldfrom an accredited institution preferred.
· Previous experience in QMS environment preferred.
What you need to be successful
· High School Diploma/GED required.
· 2 years of relevant experience working in a laboratory environment required.
· Familiar with Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
· Proficiency in developing and executing design of experiments and sample test plans.
· Working knowledge of materials processing and testing equipment.
