A bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field and 1 year of experience in the position offered or 1 year of experience innovating, designing, developing, and launching system components. Also requires 1 year of experience developing product and process requirements; performing product quality assurance; writing MATLAB Scripts, Simulink models, dSpace, or National Instrument; using CAN tools to collect and diagnose vehicle communication data between different electronic modules; and developing, debugging, testing, or implementing control algorithms.
We are offering a salary of $78,450.00 - $187,024.68/yr.

What you’ll be able to do:
Product Development Verification and Validation Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Allen Park, Michigan). Position reports to Allen Park, MI office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Develop and refine design validation methods for ensuring proper feature-level performance. Create system, software, and diagnostic requirements, and relevant specifications. Write, test, debug software models. Design and develop testing toolchain, and automations for feature and software verification and validation. Plan and execute design verification plans to ensure proper feature-level performance. Sign-off on feature-level performance and will plan and execute real-world evaluations to identify system problems and issues. Support and coordinate root-cause analysis with internal and external suppliers and will integrate and configure models and other software packages with a variety of production and other hardware to enable preproduction feature-level verification. Ensure system designs, functional safety, and other deliverables.
