Position: Product Engineer

Location: India (Permanent Remote)

Job Type: Permanent • Experience required: Min 5 year’s relevant experience of new product development

Assessment Test: (based on role requirement) will be required to take a skill assessment test prior interview.

Shift: 04:00 pm - 01:00 am IST (min 4.5 hrs EST overlapping)

Work hours- total 9 hrs (8.5 hrs working+ Half an hour meal break)

CTC: As per market standards

Notice period: (Immediate joiner preferred) candidate serving notice with 30 working days notice period preferred.

Must have Broadband availability: Min 30 MBPS (national service provider JIO/TATA/Airtel Hathway etc)

Important: Access to a quiet home office environment with above mentioned broadband availability and working space to accommodate two monitors +1 Laptop. (based on role requirement)

Job Summary:

The Product Engineer will be responsible for designing innovative, cost-effective and customer focused product solutions for rough plumbing applications from concept to market launch (conception, design work, prototyping/samples, testing and validation) with an emphasis on quality and on time delivery. Will focus on product cost optimization (Total Cost Productivity) and support resolution of quality, customer, and manufacturing issues as they arise. Ensure product compliance and facilitate problem solving by employing root cause analysis

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Applies technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop customized customer-centric designs.

Reduces cost of product and increased production throughput, by presenting innovative design simplifications and existing product redesign

Is capable of interfacing with all functions in the organization and administers required support activities.

Works closely with Manufacturing Engineering and New Product Development to ensure that designs are both producible and robust.

Supports aftermarket product modification and upgrade programs, through quick and accurate engineering analyses (FEA, stack up analysis, DOE etc.)

Performs risk analysis and presents findings to internal engineering and appropriate levels of management.

Ensures design documentation is accurate and kept up to date, while driving design standardization across all product lines

Assesses design form, fit and function improvement opportunities, and develops a prioritized project queue.

Function effectively, manage projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Performs other related duties as needed and assigned.

Must have key skills:

Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to use a computer for 8.5 hours per day.

Familiar with Microsoft applications Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and computer skills


Minimum 5 years of new product development experience

Experience with Creo and Autocad for a few years (5+ years) would be preferred.

Windchill CAD data management experience .

Working knowledge of GD&T with ability to read and interpret documents (drawings, specifications, procedure manuals, etc.)

Experience with project management and associated tools/techniques

Understanding FEA and modeling analysis

Experienced in DFMEA, RCCM and Stack up Analysis.

Experienced with rapid prototyping, testing methods and design of experiments.

Understanding of statistical process control and quality systems

Familiarity and exposure to manufacturing processes that include machining, brazing, buffing, plating, coating, plastic injection molding, rubber molding, casting, stamping and assembly.

Preferred Key Skills:
Manufacturing processes background.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
