Job Description
Support Product Design, Development and Validation Testing of new products or current product extensions and improvementsThis person will work closely with packaging design and R&D to identify solutions and cost-saving opportunitiesManage multiple projects using Stage-Gate product development processTranslate user needs into technical requirements and conduct feasibility studies for innovative solutionsCreate detailed CAD designs and 3D models for product design and developmentPerform engineering calculations and analyses such as tolerance and stackup analysis, prepare FMEAs and technical specification documentation.Build and refine prototypes and conduct bench-top experiments to validate design conceptsPlan and execute test methodologies and analyze resultsWork closely with sourcing for purchased parts and with manufacturing engineering to ensure designs are manufacturableMust Have
4-year engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Process Engineering4-5 years of experience working on product development projectsSolidworks experienceKnowledge of design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) in a lean environmentFamiliarity with structured product development frameworks, ideally iterative and stage-gate methodologiesKnowledge of some of the following manufacturing processes- molding, extrusion, metal forming, light assembly, and their impact on design and productionNice to Have

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $48.00
