Job DescriptionPosition Summary:
In this role you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing new materials for use in technical applications. This position will implement product design and process development activities.
Essential Functions:
Develops new/improved adhesives for yarn.Provide technical expertise to improve process efficiency/product quality.Support new equipment/process implementation.Provide cost saving initiatives by evaluating manufacturing processes while maintaining quality standards.Create and analyze prototype materialsConduct process validation activitiesImplementation of process improvementsWorks with manufacturing to prepare optimal processing conditions for new material developments.Interfaces with our internal customers for understanding and meeting their product needs and providing cost effective products for approval.Upon development of new approved products or modification on existing onesResponsible for preparing the product specifications used on the process equipment and the lab testing.QualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering5+ years related industry experienceAbility to transfer new materials to the manufacturing specifications.Strong interpersonal skills. Ability work across all parts of the organizationUtilization of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for project execution and internal communication purposes.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
