Objective.- Product Engineer works on products which reduce emissions and improve fuel economy for BorgWarner Emissions Systems. As part of BorgWarner Emissions Systems, you will work with OEM customers and cross-functional global team and production plant to ensure design, testing and development of Emissions Products, preserving product integrity and functionality with respect to design intent and protecting the customer RESPONSIBILITIES + Definition and documentation of required product features based on customer and system requirements. + Negotiate technical requirements and specifications with OEM customers. + Work with design department to create / modify product design considering vehicle packaging, engine functional requirements, overseeing the product manufacturing process. + Coordinate technical reviews and submission of deliverables such as 3D data, customer approval drawings and component drawings in line with key program dates. + Active participation and support in problem solving on production issues such as scrap, 0 km issues on customer engine plants and warranty claims. + Responsible of DVP&R (design verification plan and report) of our products. + Coordinate, track and execute validation testing with global team to ensure product conforms to customer specifications. + Lead responsible for technical project management to ensure programs are flawlessly launched including maintain customer action lists and manage commitments ensuring customer needs are met. + Support global cross functional team by applying knowledge of product development cycle and APQP disciplines to meet all product deadlines. + Proactively seeking out new customer opportunities with existing products or new products for continued business growth.
