Position SummaryThe Product Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of plan components within the product platform which manages benefit plans for all lines of business. This position requires technical proficiency, strong analytical skills, the ability to partner with stakeholders in other departments, and the ability to track, document, and train others on system changes. This is a full-time hybrid position based in Portland, Oregon. Pay Range$83,105.32 - $103,893.45 annually.Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.

Required Skills, Experience & Education:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline, or relevant experience.
+ Proven experience successfully driving the implementation of complex changes in technical systems.
+ 5 years of relevant health plan work experience, preferably medical.
+ Microsoft office suite with strong proficiency in Excel.
+ Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
+ Experience with the design and implementation of user acceptance and system validation testing, and documentation procedures.
+ Experience with end user training and support for the adoption of system changes.
Primary Functions:
+ Responsible for updating and maintaining all product components used to configure plans within the Product Platform for all lines of business.
+ Acceptance testing of FJA application deliveries or infrastructure modifications.
+ Proficiency in using statistical techniques and tools to analyze data sets, identify trends, patterns, correlations, and outliers. This includes exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and data visualization.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during the testing phase, working closely with other Product team members and/or other departments to implement solutions.
+ Participate in quality assurance processes, including design reviews and product validation testing within the Product Platform.
+ Demonstrate competency to rapidly learn, understand and analyze lifecycle of product data using product development methodologies, product model structure, products, processes, and requirements documentation.
+ Prepare and maintain documentation of updates and changes for the user manual, design documents, and decision documents.
+ Document research, testing and development activities, providing clear and accurate records for future reference.
+ Training of Product staff on impacts of updates and changes in the use of the Product Platform.
+ Support of downstream processes of all consumers.
+ Continuous improvement driving efficiency within the Product Platform.
+ Capacity to identify key business questions and problems, formulate hypotheses, and design analytical approaches to address them. Product Engineers should be able to think critically and creatively to solve complex analytical challenges.
Working Conditions & Contact with Others
+ Work is performed seated or standing for prolonged periods. Close PC Monitor and keyboard work. Constant interaction with others on the phone and in person. Work in excess of 40 hours per week, including evenings and occasional weekends, to meet business need.
+ Inside the company primarily with operational departments. Outside the company with consultants and vendor partners.
