What does the role look like?
In this role, the Product Engineer actively participates in a team environment, reporting to the Secondaries Value Stream Engineering Manager and working with Engineering team, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and other departments to support and manage activities related to design, development, production and maintenance of Secondary Actuation Equipment’s. The Product Engineer’s tasks will be to address technical issues resolution, to develop design solutions to problems of varying complexity assuring high quality technical content and timely closure and to prepare, check and approve technical documentations, specifications and reports necessary to support products development and industrialization.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
Operate in a team environment with other functional areas, such as manufacturing engineering, operations and quality to analyse technical issues, isolate Root Cause and define Corrective Actions, leading the technical investigationsAccomplish and manage technical tasks to evaluate product deviations in support to production and maintenance, having the technical ownership of the products such as Secondary Actuation Systems and Secondary Actuation System Equipment’sManage product improvements and/or product evolutions such as modifications or upgrades in accordance with schedule and budgetReport project status data to Engineering Management and Program Management Office in support of periodic project review and program review and attend teleconferences, design review and program review as product leaderInterface with customers and manage technical aspects with suppliers, being the technical interface for the productEnsure compliance with customer specification and qualification documentationCoordinate and support all the engineering activities with other departments, like investigations, product improvement projects and cost reduction activitiesFollow all set of quality standards and engineering principles and best practices, direct instructions for manuals, assembly instructions, testing and troubleshooting.What will you bring to the role?
Master’s degree in an engineering discipline (Aerospace or Mechanical preferred)Capability to understand engineering drawingsKnowledge of engineering principles and mechanical designGood skills in evaluating product deviations and fixing technical issuesHigh attitude to problem solving, data gathering and analysisHigh ability to organize and execute complex tasksExcellent written and verbal communication skills at all levelsTeam player, demonstrating positive and collaborative attitudeDemonstrated ability to analyze problems and strategize for better design solutionsHigh level use of Microsoft Office Tools (word, excel, power point, project, access)Good understanding of aerospace product development and certification processesGood knowledge of SAP and Project Scheduling ToolsDemonstrated familiarity with manufacturing, production and maintenance processesDesirable skills:
Knowledge of Aerospace Systems architecture and functionality5 to 10 years of engineering experience, preferably in an aerospace environmentGood understanding of reliability and maintainability (RAMS)Knowledge of the airworthiness regulations in civil and military aerospace for production and maintenance (EASA, EMAR, Part 66 and Part 145)What do we offer?
