Job DescriptionWho You’ll Work With
As a Product Engineer at Arista Networks, you will collaborate with a range of teams and stakeholders, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Platform Design, and Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners. You will engage with business functions across the organization, working closely with technical leaders, quality teams, and production staff to ensure product quality and process improvements. Additionally, you will interface with vendor partners to provide feedback and drive quality metrics, as well as work with cross-functional teams to ensure factory readiness and successful product launches.

We are seeking a candidate who takes pride in driving product quality and yield within our CM manufacturing partners. As a Product Engineer, you will engage with Manufacturing, Engineering, Platform Design, CM Partners and other business functions. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the smartest engineering, manufacturing and technical leaders in the industry.
Job responsibilities:
Manage and drive quality metrics and improvement activities (yields, bone pile, scrap rates, component fallout).Line stops / purges / quality issues leadership.Conduct manufacturing process audits and closures.Provide vendor Scorecard and Quality Business Review (QBR) inputsDrive timely implementation of Change Orders (Agile)Provide quoting review and input, NRE tooling review and approval, PO generationEnsure purchase, procurement and release of testing infrastructure to support new and sustaining products.Context Engineering Management, assessment of manufacturing personnel technical capability.Manage test infrastructure requirements and ensure factory capacity capability.Factory readiness for New Product launchesIdentify and drive process improvement, cycle times reduction and lean activitiesImprove manufacturing operations processes and actively enhance efficiency, consistency, cost avoidance and customer satisfaction.Develop process and/or best practice documentation.Address Return Rate (RMA) and customer complaints.DRT participation and leadership. Actively work with the Defect Reduction Team to identify product issues and drive resolutions. Interface/engage with Engineering, Platform Engineering, Manufacturing and CM partners.Establish technical direction through the investigation and evaluation of new test technologies.Ensure that production site receives the required level of product training.Work in conformance to established manufacturing test processes and procedures.Qualifications10+ years of experience in contract manufacturing environment, preferably in a high mix, low volume PCBA environment as well as box build.BS or MS degree required.Strong leadership capability, with experience in managing, recruiting, developing and coaching employees.Proven record of accomplishment driving business efficiency and improvements.Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Malay.Must be results-oriented and possess sound business judgement.Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills combined with an ability to research information.Experience in production process metric implementation, yield management and product quality.Ability and experience in Test Capacity management and cycle time improvements.Expert knowledge in ECO, BOM and Deviation processes, (Agile experience a plus).Solid working knowledge of DFx (DFM, DFA, DFT, DFQ and/or DFR).Demonstrated ability to establish technical direction through the investigation and evaluation of new test technologies.Expertise in networking products related to routing, switching and data center.Excellent computer skills with emphasis on excel and project reporting.Excellent working knowledge of complex system level debugging and root cause analysis.Strong knowledge of manufacturing, test, quality and reliability best practices.Additional InformationArista stands out as an engineering-centric company.
