Basic Qualifications:
HS Diploma. Currently enrolled in a Cooperative Education Engineering program with an accredited institution. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Casting or Metal fabrication experience preferred. Strong communication skills. Works well in a team environment. Efficient analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency of computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Office products, graphics, and statistical analysis software). Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

A Product Engineer at Howmet Engines maintains the dimensional integrity of products via continuous improvement & maintenance. They are also responsible for the cost performance of a portfolio of investment cast, super alloy, aerospace and power generation components.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Troubleshoot manufacturing problems & root cause analysis. Develop new, and refine existing investment casting product to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing costs. Support manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery of product through all operations. Work concurrently with customers to design components for castability. Maintain customer relationships through joint resolution of issues. Maintain and improve casting scrap and rework. Improve casting profitability through cost reductions. Achieve cost reduction through process improvements. Develop and refine manufacturing work instructions. Develop casting processes for new products. Develop tooling suites in support of cast products accounting for proportional changes in product dimensions resulting from the manufacturing process. Assist sales department in quotation of new products. Achieve cost targets for development and production castings. Establish and achieve milestones for casting development. Interact with customers to understand technical requirements & resolve issues. Provide program management for individual part portfolio.
