Job Overview TE Connectivity’s Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.Responsibility:
o Development of optimized CNC program for new product under development. Valuate design for manufacturability feasibility of the product, Good knowledge on programing and handling Vertical Mills & CNC turning.
o Should be components to handle machine independently in proving the design parts.
o Reviewing of drawings and create control plans, flow process and Standard Operating Procedures.
o Assist in all manufacturing at design and validation stages of the product development lifecycle, from conceptualizing new product ideas, developing engineering designs, prototyping, supporting production and rolling out new and improved products.
o Setup and fixturing requirements study, design and implementation as required from time to time on various projects
o Work closely with the cross functionals teams to develop & execute new product development
o Keep abreast of new technologies, materials and processes and use the information to initiate cost saving or product enhancing projects.
o Contribute to achieving departmental targets – specifically ‘Delivery on Time’ , Quality, dimensional accuracy, targets for development and sustaining products.
o Carry out any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time by the Engineering Manager.
o Observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or similar with 3 years of work experience
• 3+ year’s work experience in Development and proving out of optimized CNC program for New product Development in Aerospace, Automotive or Industrial.
• Experience in handling 5Axis, mill-turn and turn-mill.
• Experience in design tools such as GD&T, PFME, and Tolerance Stack-ups.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes like machining, plating, secondary process.
• Knowledge of statistical process control methodology, six sigma is an advantage.
• Strong Technical Aptitude with Willingness to learn new Technologies.
• Experience in Creo/Solidworks software.
• Good Knowledge in PDM windchill & PLM software
