Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, this position perform engineering analyses, create detailed designs, and execute prototype builds – all contributing to the overall execution of department projects and functional initiatives.  The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in a manufacturing environment while contributing to team objectives. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and update drawingsAssist with documentation to support engineering notification launchesExecute 3D prints and clean prototypesAssemble prototypesCoordinate with the machine shop to execute brass prototypesAssist in testing prototypes and existing products for root cause analysisPerform other product engineering duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Actively enrolled in a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering program (BSME)50% of required engineering coursework completed

BASIC SKILLS

Ability to effectively communicateAbility to work independently and in a team setting

COMPUTER SKILLS

Experience working with CAD (CREO preferred)Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment or enclosed office space; and can be exposed to a warehouse environment on a frequent basis. The ambient conditions are moderate, and the noise level in the work environment is moderate.
